Our standard working hours are:

  • Monday – Thursday: 9am till 5pm.
  • Friday: 9am till 3pm.

Online Shop The online shop at is only able to accept orders from UK customers.

Prices All prices are shown in British Pounds Sterling including standard carriage and 20% VAT. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Payments The Bottle and Jar Company accept all major credit and debit payment cards on our website. We use Paypal Website Payments for processing our online transactions. As a result, all financial or credit card data you supply will be processed and stored by Paypal. Paypal will be responsible for storing your financial details securely and in accordance with their own privacy policy. Paypal comply with the Payment Card Issuer (PCI) requirements on data security, and any payment card information and other financial details collected by Paypal will be stored and used in accordance with those security standards. The Bottle and Jar Company do not store any of your financial details.

All card payments made through our website are processed through Stripe, a secure payment gateway merchant.

Cancellations And Returns
You must inform us in writing by e-mail and must state your name, a description of the goods concerned and the order number. Attaching the Order Confirmation The Bottle & Jar Company originally sent you will also assist us in processing your cancellation and refund as quickly as possible. If this cancellation arrives before your goods are dispatched you will receive a full refund. If however your goods have been dispatched there will be a charge to cover the cost incurred by us to dispatch them of £10 (excluding VAT) per consignment.

You must take reasonable care of the goods and then return the goods to The Bottle & Jar Company by registered post or similar as soon as it is practicable to do so. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to The Bottle & Jar Company and the risk of damage to the goods in transit. We request that you return the goods with the original packaging.

Any breakages or issues with your order must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Please do not reject parcels because you think the goods are broken, accept the goods and contact the sales office. In some cases we may ask for photographic evidence. Please check goods on arrival, carefully with gloves on, as discrepancies cannot be rectified after 7 working days.

Glass Colour & Quality
Please note the content of recycled glass used to produce our bottles and jars does fluctuate. Therefore we cannot guarantee that every glass bottle or jar will be the same colour glass. Some may have a very slight green tint, depending on the supplier used. All bottles and jars are to food grade standard.


  • We aim to process and despatch your order within 48 hours of your order being placed.
  • Orders are despatched via 24 hour courier service.
  • Our prices include Courier service to the UK mainland.
  • Our Couriers deliver Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.
  • Our Couriers do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Orders received after 11am, Monday-Friday will not be processed until the next working day.
  • For larger orders please allow up to 3 days for delivery and up to 2 days extra on deliveries if this coincides with a public holiday.

Delivery is to UK mainland only – as defined by our Courier. The following postcodes will incur an additional charge for delivery please contact us for a quote for delivery. AB, IV, HS, KA27-28, KW PA20-49, PA60-78, PH4 – PH50, ZE, BT, IM, TR21-25 and postcodes which are located on the Isle of Wight..

If you require delivery on Saturday, please contact the office as this can be arranged subject to surcharge.

If you do not receive your order within 3 days of dispatch, please notify the office, any claims after 5 working days will have exceeded the time and therefore, we will be unable to accept liability for any loss or damage.

We require a contact number and clear instructions as to where it will be safe to leave your goods if you are not at home, this option is only available at your own risk, if it is not safe to leave the goods please state clearly and the courier will leave a card to arrange delivery at a more convenient time.

We have put in place procedures to secure all handling and collection of personal information is only for the use of despatching orders. This information is for internal use only, such as internal record data. This is processed in accordance with UK law. Your personal information is NOT sold to any third parties.
